A jaunt in the 15th-century Verona countryside

A jaunt in the 15th-century Verona countryside

Villa Sagramoso Sacchetti, a 15th-century country house, has recreated the atmosphere of “Villa delights” of the past in a relais that offers oodles of charm and comfort

A magnificently decorated Villa Veneta, a bright, welcoming, charming residence with elegant suites, a salt-water swimming pool and a “joyous” breakfast on offer with homemade tarts and freshly-baked bread…

Villa Sagramoso Sacchetti, a 15th-century farm estate has, with its philologically-perfect restoration, regenerated the atmosphere of “Villa Living” of bygone days. Its owners, a Verona family with noble origins, attend to every detail with extraordinary passion: the “brolo”( vegetable garden/orchard) and grapevines, the park, the recipes, the organization of excursions.

History permeates the place: the Villa is attributed to the School of Sanmicheli, to one side of it stands the oratory of San Giacomo, the dovecote tower with bread oven, some rustic outbuildings and the “barchessa” wing. Set on a promontory overlooking the Val d'Adige and the Valpolicella, the house enjoys splendid views of the truly lovely landscape. Nearby and reachable by bike path are Verona and Lake Garda.

  • Enjoy yourself in an historic food shop nearby, tasting traditional products and dishes, and participate in a Saturday-morning interactive cooking course.
