In the land of mulberries, gold and Palladio

In the land of mulberries, gold and Palladio

In the heart of the Astico Valley, a 15th-century residence/warehouse, Castello di Thiene, opens its doors to guests for an immersive experience in its charm and culture.

Villa Porto Colleoni Thiene, known as Castello di Thiene, has origins in the initial period of Venetian settlement on the mainland. Now as then, it is a private residence, a locus of refined cultural life and a place of trade and commerce. The Castle also hosts a famous floricultural event each September.

The descendents of the family that first built the residence still live there today, managing the property with great love and dedication, and offering guests a wonderful tour imbued with the historic, refined atmosphere of the place.

The Pedementana area near Vicenza, which hosted some of the most famous historic silk production facilities of the Venetian Republic and is dotted with Villas and delightful towns, including Thiene, offers numerous cultural events and attractions, excellent food and wine and magnificent shopping.
