Villa Arvedi appears on the slope of a hill. Visitors pass through an extraordinary Italian garden with a butterfly-wing design, lovely to observe from the viewpoint of the villa’s terrace.
The master of the house accompanies guests through the Villa, describing the grand Salon of the Titans painted by Dorigny with mythological scenes: Perseus and the Medusa, the battle between the Centaurs and the Lapiths, the Titans holding up the signs of the zodiac.
After the visit, head to the antique oil mill to enjoy an oil tasting of oil made with the estate’s cold-pressed olives.
The next stop is Villa Mosconi Bertani, a prestigious monumental Neoclassical-style complex dating to the 18th century, set in a perfectly-preserved little valley.
This part of the territory has always been devoted to the cultivation of the grape; in fact, the earliest testimony of it dates back to around 900 A.D. The winemaking tradition has been carried on here by the Bertani family for more than three centuries.
After visiting the Villa and the vast antique cellars, have lunch in an elegant room with a guided tasting of the wines made here.
