Suggested things to do  

  • Visit Treviso, city of water, with the Sile River running through it, canals, water mills and Fishermen’s Island, frescoes of Saint Catherine by Tomaso da Modena, the Sant’Orsola cycle and the frescoes of the Capitoline Room at San Nicolò, the “Fontana delle Tette”, Piazza dei Signori, the Duomo Museum and the Bailo Museum of Modern Art. 
  • Follow a variety of itineraries on foot, by bike or by riverboat, in the Restera zone along Europe’s longest spring-fed river, the Sile, or, to the East, its source at the Oasis of Cervara. 
  • Drive half an hour to the Prosecco Hills, discovering an inspiring, unspoiled landscape between Conegliano and Asolo dotted with historical towns and villages.
  • Stop at Santa Cristina to admire the Lorenzo Lotto altarpiece in the parish church; Badoere with its monumental Piazza, the oldest ‘supermarket’ in history; Altivole to see the Brion Tomb, a wonderful work by the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa, and Castelfranco to marvel at the Giorgione altarpiece.
  • Taste Veneto cuisine at one of the many dining spots found throughout the “Marca Gioiosa et Amorosa” (delightful and lovely countryside), following the Piave and Prosecco wine roads and the Red Radicchio of Treviso route.
  • Play a round at one of the wonderful golf courses at Villa Condulmer, Ca’ della Nave, or Ghirada.
