Villa Braga Rosa
architecture. This oasis, which in the 18th century was owned by the Rosa family, first belonged to the Camposampiero family, one of the oldest and most illustrious in the Paduan territory. The villa is surrounded by a well-kept park enhanced with valuable statues and is enclosed by some of the most beautiful wrought iron gates.
To protect from brigandage, in the Early Middle Ages, there were built towers across the road itself which regulated traffic and which were closed with gates at night, that were later on transformed into a villa by the Camposampiero family which was subsequently passed on to the Rosa family in 17th century. The central part of the facade is characterized by triple openings that create an harmonious and elegant architectural rhythm.
The villa belonged to Francesco Rosa who married Gabriella Carla Patin, daughter of a famous Parisian doctor who taught at the University of Padua.
