Villa Rechsteiner
Villa Rechsteiner, previously known as Villa Bonamico, is a seventeenth-century Veneto villa that stands in the prestigious setting of the Rechsteiner agricultural estate, a few kilometers from Treviso.
References to this residence date back to the late 17th century, but the earliest certain account of it found to date is in the 1728 Otthoboni Land Register.
After changing hands several times, passing among the noble Serbelloni, Bonamico and Revedin families, the villa was acquired in 1881 by Friedrich Rechsteiner, founder of the agricultural estate that bears his name. The estate is still directed by one of his descendents today, Baron Florian von Stepski Doliwa.
The ground floor of the villa, now the owners’ residence, is open to the public and available for cultural events and workshops.
In addition to the Villa, the estate includes the Cantina Rechsteiner winery, located in the historic building that originally served as a storehouse, and a Historic Park extending over 3 hectares of green space.
A few km from the Villa is the agricultural estate’s Agritourism or farm stay lodging, with rooms, apartments and two restaurant dining areas
