Suggested things to do  

  • Visit Treviso, city of water, with the Sile River running through it, canals, water mills and Fishermen’s Island, frescoes of Saint Catherine by Tomaso da Modena, the Sant’Orsola cycle and the frescoes of the Capitoline Room at San Nicolò, the “Fontana delle Tette”, Piazza dei Signori, the Duomo Museum and the Bailo Museum of Modern Art. 
  • Discover the town of Oderzo (ancient Opterg- a pre-roman market town -, and later, in the Roman era, Opitergium) with its important archeological excavation sites. A few kilometers away, in Piavon, is the Eno Bellis Ethnographic Museum, and in the lovely village of Portobuffolè the house of Gaia da Camino, a talented poetess who governed Treviso and its countryside in the 14th century.
  • Drive half an hour to the Prosecco Hills, discovering an inspiring, unspoiled landscape between Conegliano and Asolo dotted with historical towns and villages.
  • Taste Veneto cuisine at one of the many dining spots found throughout the “Marca Gioiosa et Amorosa” (delightful and lovely countryside), following the Piave and Prosecco wine roads and, in season, enjoying the white asparagus of Cimadolmo. 
  • Play a round at a magnificent golf course along the coast at Duna Verde or Jesolo, or arrange a horseback riding excursion along the Piave to the Grave di Papadopoli.
